Synergy

Synergy is an interactive app design where music and photography combine to create a personalized listening experience. Synergy generates customized playlists for its users based on their emotional reactions to photography. In addition, it acts as a social platform for individuals to share what they are listening too and discover new artists and genres. The minimal user interface design creates a modern look and allows the images and sound to be the focal point.

The brand was developed while a survey was collecting data to study trends in participants listening habits as well as their emotional responses to a curated set of images. The survey results were then used to create the user flows for the final prototype. Information architecture was built to determine the main content pages.

The final prototype demonstrated 6 user flows; a user logging in / creating an account; a user generating a playlist based on their mood; a user sharing what they are listening to with their followers; a user viewing their listener data; a user searching for new music; and viewing their music collection.

The prototype was built using a combination of Adobe XD and Adobe Premier Pro to add in sound effects.
